Rooted in Community
Dear Friends and Neighbors
My name is Annette Sanchez, I am not a career politician, nor have I ever run for an office. I am writing to share something deeply important to me: I have decided to run for a seat on our local City of Stockton Council, District 1. This choice comes from a genuine desire to serve our community and to help shape a future that reflects our shared values, needs, and hopes.
Over the years, I’ve seen both the strengths and the struggles within our city. I’ve watched families work hard to build stability, small businesses fight to stay afloat, and neighborhoods come together in moments of challenge. These experiences have shown me how much potential we have — and how much thoughtful, committed leadership matters.
I am running because I believe our community deserves better than what it currently has and needs a voice that listens first and leads with transparency, respect, and collaboration. I want to help create practical solutions to the issues we face every day: safer streets, stronger local businesses, more opportunities for our youth, and a city government that is accessible and accountable to the people it serves.
My goal is not to bring in my own agenda, but to elevate the voices of residents who often feel unheard. I want to work side by side with you — to understand your concerns, celebrate your successes, and make decisions that reflect the real needs of our community.
Public service is a responsibility I do not take lightly. I am stepping forward because I care deeply about where we live, and I believe that together, we can build a city that works better for everyone.
Thank you for your support, your trust, and your belief in what we can accomplish as a community. I look forward to the conversations ahead and to earning the opportunity to represent you.
With gratitude,
Annette Sanchez
